Chair, Jeanne Broyhill
Jeanne is a native Arlingtonian and a 2009 retiree from the worlds of public relations, lobbying, marketing, communications, and strategic planning, primarily in the housing and mortgage finance arenas. She is active with the Arlington Community Foundation and Culpepper Garden, and has served as board chair for both nonprofits. Jeanne is co-founder of the 16-year-old Northern Virginia Womenade, which has raised almost $100,000 for 33 nonprofits in the Northern Virginia area.
Vice Chair, Tony Weaver
Tony is managing partner at Olson Weaver LLC, an Arlington-based residential contracting company. Tony has worked at various Silicon Valley startups and founded EndoInSight, a medical device startup in Memphis, Tennessee. He currently serves on the Arlington County Fiscal Affairs Advisory Commission, is a past president of the Arlington Rotary Club, and was part of the Leadership Arlington Class of 2022. He holds a bachelor's degree in foreign affairs and a master’s in marketing and management, both from the University of Virginia. Tony is active in the Democratic Party. He is a candidate for the Arlington County Board and is currently participating in the Sorensen Institute’s Political Leadership Program.
Secretary, Gerry Laporte
Gerry has been a member of the Board and program committee for several years and is the Immediate Past Chair. Gerry retired in 2013 after serving as Chief of the Office of Small Business Policy at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for over 11 years. In that position, Gerry was responsible for administering the federal securities laws governing capital raising by smaller companies in the U.S. During his professional career, Gerry practiced securities, corporate and legislative law at prominent Washington firms, worked on Capitol Hill, and clerked for a federal judge. Gerry was previously on the board of the Arlington Historical Society, of which he was president for three years, and has served on the Arlington County Historical Affairs and Landmark Review Board for over 20 years.
Treasurer, Chuck Morley
Chuck brings a wide variety of skills to his third nomination to the Arlington Committee of 100, this time as Treasurer. Before retiring in 2009, Chuck was the CEO of the Morley Group, an international consulting firm focused on the detection and prevention of money laundering, conducting complex financial investigations, training bankers and governments, and related services. He previously served as Chief Investigator for the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and before that was an IRS criminal investigator. He is a past chairman of the board of the Hyde Park Condominium, and currently chairs the Finance and Administration Committee. He is a long term volunteer supervisor at the Arlington Food Assistance Center, and a former volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Assistant Treasurer, Margarita Muzzall
Margarita has made Arlington her home since the year 2000. She has been active in the community supporting various non-profit organizations and is an alumna of the Leadership Center of Arlington’s Lead! Class of 2022. During her 20+ year career in commercial real estate finance, she has been part of our region’s growth and has become an expert in Seniors Housing. She is a board member of Forest Hills of DC, a non-profit provider of assisted living and nursing care, where she serves as treasurer.
Duke Banks
Duke is a Past President of the Arlington County Civic Federation and board member of the Waverly Hills Civic Association. Previously, Duke was involved with Arlington’s Park and Recreation Commission and the Open Data Advisory Group. Duke’s professional career was in municipal government and international development consulting. Duke has significant experience in creating channels for opposing viewpoints to be heard and understood.
Karen Bate
Karen founded KB Concepts PR in 2007 to help companies and nonprofits achieve their mission and goals through strong branding, key media placements, and the power of social media. In 2014 she also co-founded Awesome Women (AWE), with more than 200 local women business owners as members of six chapters throughout the DMV until it merged with the Arlington Chamber of Commerce in 2020. Karen has received many awards over the years for both organizations, including two Chamber Best Business Awards and Arlington County’s Women of Vision Award in 2022. She previously served on the board of AFAC for six years.
Linc Cummings
Linc led the Committee of 100 as Chair in 2011-2012. He is a retired IBM executive who served on the Arlington County Planning and Economic Development Commissions and now serves on the County’s Commission on Aging and Community Emergency Response Team. Linc was a founder of and led Community Associations Institute (CAI) and its research foundation and think tank (serving condominium. cooperative, and homeowner associations worldwide, now celebrating its 50th anniversary). Linc also created and led the national consultancy Cummings & Associates.
Hannah Dannenfelser
Hannah served the Committee of 100 as Chair from 2020-2022. She is a lifelong Arlingtonian and is the Grants & Resources Manager for the National Association of Realtors. She has previously worked in community relations with the Leadership Center for Excellence, Arlington Community Federal Credit Union, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and as an independent consultant. She also sits on the Board of The Arc of Northern Virginia and is the Treasurer of the Dominion Terrace Condo Association. She is an active volunteer in numerous organizations, including the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Bridges to Independence, and Columbia Pike Partnership. Hannah is a 2021 Northern Virginia 40 Under 40 honoree. She is an alum of the Ignite Young Professionals Program (2017) and Leadership Arlington (2022).
Sherry Delaney
Sherry is the owner of Wubula LLC, a web design company that provides affordable, bespoke websites to small- and medium-sized enterprises. Sherry was Director of Marketing for The Schlow Restaurant Group, managing a multi-state, multi-concept portfolio, before returning to independent consulting. Prior to joining the Schlow group, Sherry’s company, Lambent PR, provided public relations, strategic marketing and brand management services for hospitality businesses in Arlington, Alexandria City and D.C. In her early career, Sherry served as Director of Public Support for the American Red Cross, Alexandria Chapter, and as a journalist covering economic trends and Federal Reserve policy in D.C.
Krysta Jones
Krysta has committed her life to public service, developing leaders and changing lives. In 2006, Krysta founded Virginia Leadership Institute (now known as Vote Lead Impact) to increase the number of Black elected officials through training in a variety of skills. Among Krysta’s many local, state, regional and national organizations, she has lobbied for women’s and socio-economic issues, worked as an aide to the Arlington County Board Chair, and served as president of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Virginia. This year Krysta received Arlington County’s Women of Vision award, one of many awards and recognitions she has received over the years.
Richard Lolich
Richard worked in both the private and public sectors of the international maritime and transportation logistics industry for over 22 years. During that time, he was responsible for developing the rules governing security at our nation’s ports and on the ships that call our ports. He has been head of his neighborhood civic association as well as a member of the working group established by Arlington County Manager to develop and recommend strategies to recognize and honor the history and legacy of the Hall’s Hill/High View Park Volunteer Fire Department and Fire Station No. 8
Amanda Molina
Amanda is an attorney specializing in data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence at Microsoft Corporation. In addition to her full-time career, Amanda serves as a Captain for the Judge Advocate General in the United States Air Force Reserve Corps. Before joining Microsoft, Amanda served for over three years in the Office of the Legislative Counsel at the United States House of Representatives, where her portfolio covered a wide range of legal and policy topics.
Devanshi Patel
Devanshi is a business owner, litigator, adjunct law professor, and CEO of the Center for Youth and Family Advocacy. Her primary focus is working to ensure young people and families have the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive. Devanshi’s legal, academic, and advocacy work focus on equitable community change. Her research focuses on racial justice and the intersectionality of gender and race. Devanshi also has served on a number of commissions and boards. She currently is the Chair of the Arlington County Planning Commission.
R. Douglas Taylor
R. Doug is a shareholder of the law firm Bean, Kinney & Korman in Arlington. For nearly 30 years, Doug has provided legal counsel and representation to businesses, business owners, associations, and nonprofits on a wide range of federal, state and local issues, primarily dealing with employment and labor law matters. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.
John Vihstadt
John has been a member of the Arlington Committee of 100 since the early 1980’s and a Board member for several years. A former member of the Arlington County Aging Commission, Housing Commission, and Planning Commission, John led the ad hoc Committee on Urban Agriculture appointed by the County Board in 2012 and also served on the Arlington County Civic Federation Board. His leadership on a variety of County, civic, Arlington Public Schools, and nonprofit bodies culminated with nearly five years of elected service on the Arlington County Board from 2014 through 2018. John resides in Tara-Leeway Heights with his wife Mary and is also a board member of Field-to-Table, which sponsors farmers markets in Westover, Lubber Run, Cherrydale, and Fairlington.
